چکیده
The study aims to analyze the influence of complex service factors on ravelling resistance performance for large-void asphalt pavements by carrying out tests environmental and vehicle factors, conducting ultraviolet aging, freeze–thaw cycles, as well speed simulated with Rotating Surface Abrasion Test, tests, traffic volume making a correlation analysis between Cantabro test Test. result shows that significantly affect drainage pavements. With increase in times UV aging loss rate specimens tendency increase, combined cycles aggravated damage specimens. Meanwhile, have significant attenuation effect speed, pressure, Abrasion, steady increase. Furthermore, there exists good times, rate. Finally, two results are consistent their changes during single/composite factor analysis, confirming feasibility using index characterize change

Rut Resistant Asphalt Pavements
The three major distress conditions affecting the performance of asphalt pavements are permanent deformation or rutting, fatigue or load associated cracking, and low temperature or thermal cracking. In an earlier technical topics article (Fall, 1998), we examined the causes of fatigue cracking and the importance of good compaction during construction to help minimize this type of distress. In t...
متن کاملperformance of asphalt pavements in tehran
this paper identifies eleven types of asphalt pavement distress types, commonly occuring in tehran metropolitan area. of these, five distresses namely: corrugation; utility cut depression ;pot holes; alligator cracking; and loss of bridge deck surfacing are rather common. however, others namely: shear failure; shrinkage cracks; lane joint cracks; bleeding; and shoulder distress are less prevail...
متن کاملDynamic Hydraulic Conductivity (Permeability) of Asphalt Pavements
External pressures applied to a saturated pavement pore structure are often dynamic due to the repeated tire loading. Therefore, a dynamic permeability constant is more realistic representation of the response of a pavement pore structure than the Darcy’s permeability. To investigate the unsteady (dynamic) fluid flow in asphalt pavements, a 3D fluid flow model was developed using the lattice Bo...
متن کاملCapturing Solar Energy from Asphalt Pavements
The concept of extracting heat energy from asphalt pavements has been investigated in this study. The scope of work consisted of finite element modeling and testing with small and large scale asphalt pavement samples. Water flowing through copper tubes inserted within asphalt pavements samples were used as heat exchangers in the experiments. The rise in temperature of water as a result of flow ...
متن کاملERDC/GSL TR-17-10 "Rutting Performance of Cold-Applied Asphalt Repair Materials for Airfield Pavements"
Cold-applied asphalt mixtures are often used for pavement repair, primarily because of the small quantities involved and/or the unavailability of hotmixed asphalt. These cold-applied mixtures have poorer rutting resistance than hot mix asphalt because additives, often solvent, are required to provide adequate workability for them to be placed at ambient temperatures. This study primarily evalua...
